Local Artists to Host Holiday CD-Release Party

The public is cordially invited to a musical performance and CD-release party at Benton’s Bistro (www.bentonscuisine.com), to be held at 6 pm on Tuesday December 7th in the Alden Bridge shopping center. Accompanying The Max Cat Band (www.gatomaximo.com) on keyboards will be Daniel Blanchard, well known locally for his regular performances in recent years at Amerigo’s and The Glass Menagerie, as well as The Woodlands Resort. Along with band member, John Carney, Blanchard has recently produced an all-instrumental CD titled “Forever Christmas.”

The new recording is a collaboration of Daniel on keyboards with John on guitar. John teaches guitar and bass and has been performing for more than 25 years in The Woodlands area, the last two years with his band “Max Cat”. The CD features classic, religious Christmas favorites done in a fusion style of classical / smooth-jazz. It will be available for purchase, and $1.00 from each CD sale will be donated to P.A.C. (Pregnancy Assistance Center).

For information on locations selling the CD, please contact John or Daniel at maxcats@charter.net.
